Bossolasco
Bossolasco stands about 759 metres above sea level between the Tanaro and Belbo rivers and has 660 inhabitants.
It is known as the ‘Pearl of the Langhe’ or the ‘Town of Roses’ (with the Festa della Fioritura delle Rose – the local rose festival – held at the beginning of June). It is a small but extraordinarily beautiful town.
Of considerable interest is the 17th-century Castello dei Balestrini in Piazza XX Settembre and the San Giovanni Battista race, in the same piazza.
From Bossolasco, it is easy to reach Dogliani, home to a typical farmers’ market every Saturday morning; Alba and its traditional Truffle Fair are just 30 minutes away; Monforte and the remarkable Monfortinjazz is 20 minutes from our location.
Let’s not forget about the Collisioni Festival in Barolo which can be reached in 30 minutes. In addition, there is the possibility of spending a day by the sea with an hour’s drive and then returning to relax in the unspoiled silence of Cascina Facelli.
